SAVE THE CHILDREN

On June 3, 2011, at the Capitol Event Theater, 2492 Yonge Street, Toronto, in support of Save the Children Canada,some of the most talented performers in Canada will be gracing the stage to raise money for this special cause. SILVER, CHOCLAIR, JESSICA SHEPPARD, OSHAWN, FARHARI, to name only a handful of incredible talent. The night will be hosted by by Nikki Clarke from” And the Beat Goes On” Rogers TV.

Over 100, 000 Children have been displaced following the earthquake and Tsunami that hit Japan on March 11, 2011. Many vulnerable children have been separated from their parents and loved ones and forced to take refuge in unfamiliar places like evacuation centers. How anxious and afraid they must feel! Save the Children has a team in Sendai, one of the worst affected areas, establishing an operations base to help the most vulnerable children and their families. Teams are also setting up “Child Friendly Spaces” aimed to provide children with a safe place to play. 5500 back to school kits have been provided for primary students who have lost everything. The response and recovery will last for three years and focus on affected children and their families in 13 districts.

Blandine(pronounced Blondine) is a Canadian Pop and R’n’B singer/ songwriter, born in the Democratic Republic of Congo and raised in Canada. At a very young age, she fell in love with music by listening to African, American and European music which are her musical influences.
